Ridge and Rifle was born in the woods, around a fire, and somewhere on a dusty trail — but more than anything, it was born in friendship.
We’re a few guys who met at church and became brothers through shared faith, struggle, and adventure. Whether we’re hiking a ridge, lifting in a garage, or throwing a log on the fire, we’ve learned that the best conversations happen shoulder-to-shoulder — doing something hard.
We didn’t start this to cash in or be the next big thing. We just wanted gear that reflects who we are — rugged, purpose-driven, and built to last from the range to the ridgeline.
The idea came in 2024 on the Appalachian Trail and took root after a hog hunt with the same crew. By 2025, Ridge and Rifle launched — not in a studio, but side by side, like we live.
It’s more than a brand — it’s a banner for men chasing truth, grit, brotherhood, and memories not easily made.

Brandon WHITING
THE BACKBONE
Brandon is the steady hand behind Ridge and Rifle. Raised in Glen Allen, VA, Brandon’s a husband of 9 years, a proud dad to two wild boys, and a former police officer who still lives to serve and protect — just in different ways now. You’ll find him backpacking, bow hunting, bass fishing, grilling, or chasing his kids through the creek behind the house. He's the guy who loves planning trips just as much as taking them, and he never misses a Commanders game. Brandon grew up in the local church and lives with a deep love for the Lord and his family.
Nelson Rice
THE ROOTS
Nelson brings heritage, hustle, and a whole lot of grit. A Hanover, VA native, Nelson is a family man to the core — married for 9 years with two boys and a girl. He grew up hunting deer with his dad (killed his first deer at age 8), fishing on the river, and searching for relics from wars past on the family land. He’s been in the landscape and hardscape world for 18 years, and he’s the guy who never shies away from hard work. Faith runs deep in his life — shaped by the local church and lived out every day.
TYLER TUCKER
THE LENS
Tyler’s the storyteller of the crew. Hailing from Triplet, VA, he’s the guy behind the camera, all of our designs, and the creative spark behind a lot of what you see. A husband of 8 years and proud girl dad to two daughters (praying for a boy next!), Tyler’s all about capturing moments and making memories. He hunts with a local hunt club, loves hiking and editing videos, and is a loyal Carolina Panthers fan. In 2020, Tyler re-dedicated his life to the Lord, and it changed everything. Now, he’s focused on being the best husband, dad, and follower of Jesus he can be.
